The scientific background of PGP staff is balanced between physics and earth science, and the scientific approach of our staff members includes theory, experiments, field-studies and computer simulations.
In 2010, the center has 57 members from 14 different countries comprising:
- 29 Professors, Senior researchers and researchers, constituting 18.8 man-labour years.
- 10 Postdocs and postdoc researchers, constituting 6.9 man-labour years.
- 3 Professor emeriti
- 20 PhD students
- 5 Technical / administrative staff members, not including UiO personnel
